Who needs love when you have money?
It used to be enough, but now it’s not.
Not since he walked into my life and made me question everything.
Now I want more, but I know that’s impossible.
Things aren’t always as they seem.
My true self is hidden, and that works for me.
Or it did.
I hide in a bed of deception to disguise myself, and I’m good at it.
Or I was.
I’m Elizabeth Fitzgerald.
I’m a Senator’s wife.
And I hate my life.

After a few minutes, he says, “I know there’s more to you, Elizabeth. I can tell there’s someone hidden inside you dying to come out. I can see it in the fake smile you show everyone, including Cal, the way you frown when you’re alone in your thoughts, and the sadness that’s lurking in your eyes. Why are you hiding?”
God help me, but there’s something in the way he speaks to me that makes me want to lay all my secrets and sins bare. He’s soft and gentle, but most importantly, I believe he wants to know more about me. He’s not asking to gain leverage or use it to his advantage, he’s genuinely concerned. And it makes me want to tell him everything. But the rational side of my brain tells me not to, so I reel in this strange impulse to divulge my secrets to a man I hardly know.

Money, love, betray, hurt….
I have never read something like that. I’m so happy that I decided to give this book a chance!
This is a story about woman name Elizabeth. She is married to Cal who is senator.
All this marriage is big false. Elizabeth married him only for money. Everything was normal for her until Cal hired a bodyguard for Elizabeth; a bodyguard who changed her life forever.
In the beginning I was thinking that Elizabeth is a gold digger. I really hated her for that, but then author shows us that she is good person and had her own reasons to be with man she doesn’t love. But you know who I blame for all disasters in Elizabeth’s life? Her mother. She put in her head that damn think that she will be happy only if she will marry rich man.
Now about Cal, Elizabeth’s husband. In first chapter I saw him like really good guy who loves his wife. But boy I was wrong…..he was first class a**hole with capital A. I don’t want to give spoilers but believe you will want to smack him couple of times. With a chair.
Alex Matthews. Bodyguard. He is tall, muscular with skies blue eyes. Don’t think that Elizabeth loves him only for his beauty! No, he is good listener, protective, funny, passionate….but he has a secret, a big fat secret which you will know in the end.
The end? That end blow me away. I needed to pick my jaw from the floor! Happiness was there, right there! And then everything collapsed like house of cards….I really can’t wait second part!
