Gina grew up reading Judy Blume, and Nancy Drew books. She was raised in the town of North Valley Stream, New York(Long Island), and attended community college for fashion design. At 19 years old, she opened a boutique. She's published four novels so far. Blood Ties(PNR), Beautiful Lies, Saving Abel, Forgiving Gia and soon Luca. When she's not writing, you can find her with friends and family. She resides in Massapequa, NY with her two beautiful boys. Reading has always been a passion and obsession of hers. You can usually find her typing furiously while shouting obscenities over her latest WIP. Her guilty pleasures are: a good laugh, being snarky, espresso, Pistachio ice-cream, alternative music, sunflower seeds, I.P.A's, twizzlers, and above all steamy swooning angst filled novels. She's pathologically obsessed with anything to do with royals, Games of Thrones, White Queen, Vampire Diaries, Resurrection, SOA, The Vikings and The Originals. If you'd like to chat, hit her up on Facebook or Twitter.

1. How and when did you get started as a writer?
A few years ago after my divorce. Something changed for me. I love to read, and have a vivid imagination. When I set my mind to something there's no stopping me. I like to do different things. Especially if it's out of the norm.
2. How do you usually find your ideas?
My characters are all facets of me, and my experiences. I may have re-shaped them, but I've lived them mostly. I do some research when needed. Mostly internet.
3. Where do you write from? (home, office etc.)
I have an office in my house. Though, for Christmas, I received a new laptop. So, when I'm feeling lazy or an idea sparks. I keep that handy.
4. How long does it take you to write a book?
It depends on the book. Blood Ties took a year. Beautiful Lies, was a few months. Saving Abel took me a month, and Forgiving Gia was a few weeks. I go into beast-mode and get it done.
5. What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
I run my errands in the am. Then for the remainder of the day I write. Followed by Red-Bull, 5 hour energy, and coffee.
6. Do you have any suggestions to help become a better writer? If so, what are they?
Staying humble is one for me. There are a myriad of fantastic brilliant writers. You need to keep putting out great books. Keep writing! I feel such growth with every new book. People don't realize how much goes into a book. Yes, writing is part, but there's editing, beta reading, promoting, graphic artist (cover). It's a full time job. However, don't be discouraged. Everything falls into place, and Facebook has a great community of authors that help.
7. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I'm an equestrian. I owned my own horse, and did some eventing. I'm funny as hell, and a practical joker. Most importantly. I am exactly how I am on Facebook.
8. What is your greatest weakness?
My greatest weakness (as of now) is Facebook. I have a hard time not responding or checking in. When, I should be writing.
9. What is your greatest strength?
As I said, I often use past experiences, and feelings attached to them. I feel it's cathartic for me. Not many people know that when reading my books.
10. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I wanted to be a gymnast, and go to the Olympics.
